1. You must be minimum of 7 years old by 15 September 2022. If you were younger than 7 you will not be eligible to participate in the second season of The Shia Voice. The (“Show”) will air on Imam Hussein TV3, Sky, channel number 789 and will be uploaded to YouTube after filming and other various platforms.  

2. Female candidates over the age of 7 are eligible to audition however, please note that due to the hijab policy of Imam Hussein TV 3, female auditionees will be limited to spoken word poetry and speeches/lectures only. 

3. This (“Competition”) is open to all across the world. The Competition will be held in England, UK and you must be eligible, willing and able to organise travel to the UK of your own accord, in order to audition. Flights and accommodation will not be paid for or subsidised by Imam Al-Hussein Media Group (“the Company”). Filming dates and locations are subject to change, successful international candidates must be able to accommodate for this.  

4. The Show will be recorded and aired on television, and clips may be posted across various social media platforms which include, but are not limited to Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. Auditionees must provide irrevocable consent to filming in order to be eligible to audition and progress throughout the Competition. 

5. You are ineligible to participate in the Show if you have previously competed in any previous season of The Shia Voice. 

6. Candidates must have a good level of spoken and written English and must be able to communicate competently in order to be eligible. Performances are not limited to English and may be conducted in other languages if desired. 

7. To accept an invitation to participate in the competition portion of the Show, you must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of Company, that you are not party to any contractual arrangement that would prohibit you from fully participating in the Show, and/or entering into any contracts required by the Company, or any other Show partners or sponsors, including but not limited to Imam Hussein Charity. Such contractual arrangements may include but are not limited to, performing oversees such as in Karbala, requested to perform on any of the Imam Hussein TV 3 shows or recordings.

8. Candidates and auditionees will be ineligible to participate in the filming of the Show if they are considered to be established reciters. This is inclusive of, but not limited to those individuals who have recorded any performances professionally or have a large following on social media as a result of their performance pieces. 

9. Children under 18 years of age are required to have a parent or legal guardian sign any documentation which may be requested of them by the Company. All documentation must be completed honestly and to the best of your knowledge. 

10. It is at the sole discretion of the Company to decide who he/she believes should be shown on air. The Company reserves the right to disqualify or render a contestant ineligible, in they believe that the conduct of the contestant does not keep in line with the values of The Imam Al-Hussein Media Group or, that their behaviour could create an image of impropriety.

Audience Terms and Conditions:

1. Candidates who opt to bring people to the filming of the Show, this includes those whom they bring to sit in the audience, must also provide irrevocable consent to being filmed. 

2. Clips from the Show may be posted to various social media platforms, which include but are not limited to Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. In addition, the Show will be uploaded to YouTube and The Shia Voice website in after filming.
