ONLINE AUDITIONS INFORMATION & FAQs

You can audition for THE SHIA VOICE registering at https://theshiavoice.com/auditions (“Online Audition Website”) and submitting an online audition video through the Online Audition Website. Prior to submitting an audition video, you must confirm that you meet the Eligibility Requirements and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You must be at least 7 years old as of 1st November , 2022 to audition.

Yes, you may upload a pre-existing video of your audition from your computer or mobile device, or provide a YouTube link, as long as the pre-existing video meets all of the other requirements for an Audition Video.

The time period to submit your online auditions starts at 6:00 PM (PT) on July 22, 2022 and ends at 11:59 PM (PT) on November 1st, 2022. If you are selected,  one of THE SHIA VOICE producers could contact you via phone or email any time until approximately December 1st, 2022.

If you are selected to move forward to a callback, you will be contacted by THE SHIA VOICE  producers via phone or email. When submitting your audition video, you will be asked to provide your contact information. Please double check that all of your contact details are accurate.

If you are selected to move forward to a callback, you will be contacted by THE SHIA VOICE producers via phone or email and will be provided with information on how to register #and attend an in-person audition, when auditions Starts, you will be required to provide or arrange for your own travel to an audition. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian must accompany you to the audition and must also arrange for his/her own travel as well. In addition, your parent or legal guardian must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (for example, a driver’s license). If you are accompanied by a legal guardian, as opposed to a parent, your legal guardian must bring proof of guardianship (for example, a court order).

You may only submit one (1) Audition Video via the Online Auditions. If you have already submitted an Audition Video for Season 2 of  THE SHIA VOICE, you cannot submit another Audition Video.

You may recite any original recitation. 

Yes, you may recite any part of a recitation. 

It is up to you to decide how short or long your recitation performance will be so long as your performance is no longer than the designated time limit.

Yes, you may submit a video even if you already auditioned via another method.

Please do not wear any clothing or bring any items that have designer names, corporate or sports team names or logos, copyrighted images, celebrity names or images (living or dead), cartoon character images or inappropriate messages or words (for example, profanity). If you have any tattoos that contain any corporate or sports names or logos, copyrighted images, celebrity names or images (living or dead), cartoon character images or inappropriate message or words (for example, profanity), please cover the tattoo for your audition.

Online Audition Videos must not contain any post-production voice enhancements or be digitally enhanced or distorted

Yes. Even if you have previously registered for a prior season, you will need to re-register to audition for Season 2.

Women are entitled to send in their auditions, however, are limited to spoken work poetry and lectures only
